step through the doorway into the quiet empty house. greet your elders after that suppressed irritation shows up on mom's face. be constantly reminded of how short life is when she talks about not wanting to regret missing another chance to visit before they die. sit down. take some rice. start eating without any of the usual fanfare or chatter. maintain an uneasy silence as people start to talk about trivial matters. quickly finish the plate and retreat to the living room. watch as everyone, weary from their own lives retreats into their own world of work and headphones and screens. slowly leave the house feeling only unfulfilment.

you watched your dream float away from you and into the empty sky as you stood there gazing wistfully into the quiet sounds of nature rushing past your inner self you watched your life float away from you as it desperately plunged forth into the skies of yesterday — ignoring the silent plea that you yelled into the open void with all the hatred you could muster tell me, what is it like to close your eyes and see nothing?

as the wind lightly touches my face amidst the warm heat of the sun somehow something seems amiss - a small fray in the thread that holds this world close and gently carelessly i pull and everything falls apart into a white void a momentary solace until i realise that all of yesterday's hopes and dreams have also collapsed slowly from the small threads that once formed a vibrant life i try to piece this world back today the weather is nice, isn't it

as the both of us look up do we still see the same sky with all of yesterday's hopes and ambitions? as the both of us look back do we still see the same days with all the truths and lies we once shared? that all we shared could be taken down in one moment of my selfish desires that in moving on i can no longer cling on to the you of the past as the both of us look beside us do we still mourn the same loss of all that joy, sadness and pain? and as the both of us look forward will we find our sights on the same path with all my hopes to start anew?

today the clock ticks away in a cold harsh tone tomorrow it will continue ticking as if a day had not passed next week i will have forgotten what day it is the marks on the walls have since lost their meanings next year the glass covering the clock's face will seem more distant than it was yesterday the incessant ticking continues until I finally reach the clock and make the clock my own or when the clock finally comes crashing down

to die because you wanted all to end and still to want to cause the least of pains to base your life on that you cannot mend and yet to try to break away your chains the land is dark, the sky is cold and bleak the clouds surround your every breath and pace obscuring all you have the will to seek and all the world you do not want to face to clear the skies and then fall out of fear or leave them blank to wander day by day if you do not embrace that which is here why do you ask if there's another way 'tis but a waste to die but not to live - these hollow words are all I have to give

My science teacher taught me about bonding How covalent bonds were harder to break Because they were about sharing And because ionic bonds always had someone giving And another taking and taking I wanted to be a noble gas Because they were stable on their own My English teacher taught me That i had to be creative Inside a little box I had to follow distinct guidelines And create something original So i tried creating and overstepped a line or two I got punished and was re-taught to follow rules So i sharpened my pencil and began to write The story of a hero with a whole lot of might How he killed the villain and got the beauty And i got rewa

I'm not actually from North Korea, and my name isn't actually Yuuu (though I am keeping that there for reasons).

Sometimes I try to write.
Sometimes I get lonely and depressed and pulled back from society and all that nonsense, and I seek solace in poetry or other art (though I tend not to post my other art here).

It would be appreciated if you would help me on my quest to express myself a bit better, or even just make my day a bit better by giving me a comment or whatnot; it means more than you may think to me.
